Biography...
In the early hours of April 3 1990 I was pulled into this world in Harare, Zimbabwe. My Mum, Deleen, then under went chemotherapy in England for the next year as she had cancer. I was looked after for a while by my aunt. Mum recovered and came back to home.
My Dad, Raoul has a job that takes him away a lot, he is an ecologist and works for World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). He specializes in rhino’s and this has provided me with endless opportunities to experience African wild life. As amazing as the experience is I was turned off it as I was there too much. My worst experience was driving down a bush road on the back of a white, single cab Toyota when a tree branch appeared out of know where and I thorn went straight through my eye, had it been 2mm’s higher I would have been blind in that eye. However; the best experience I've had was when I was about six and my dad had to bring home two rhino’s as there was a delay in their shipping to the States. There were literally two rhino on the back of a truck in crates in my back yard. I got to feed them and watch them for three days. It was amazing!
My mum and I have always been very close and able to talk about anything. I am an only child and because of it love my friends dearly and love being around them and spending time with them.
I started my schooling at Vadikidiki nursery school. It was a lovely place and I learnt to make my own sandwiches there, all the continents and how to swim. After that I moved to Bishiposlea for a year which I hated! I did however in these two schools make friends that I still am very close with today. After my torturous year at Bishopslea I went to Chisipite Junior School where is did my primary schooling. I was fond of the school and was learnt a lot. In Grade 6 I went to Far and Wide with my grade and had to learn how to read maps, work in a team and appreciate everyone’s differences. The year after I went with a friend to a camp called Outward Bound in the Chimanimani Mountains. It was cold but beautiful there and I learnt many things about myself. In my final year at Chisipite I was chosen to represent Zimbabwe in swimming but did not end up going as I decided to quit.
Next I moved on the Chisipite Senior School, just across the field form the junior school. I was petrified of all the big girls on my first day there and all the new people. However, I loved it there, I was in the swimming team and played squash and spent much time with my friends. I wrote my O levels and then moved to Harare International School to do my International Baccalaureate.
I have travelled to South Africa, Zambia, Mozambique, England, United Sates of America and a few others. Each country has brought me an understanding of different cultures and of how people manage to live together and accept other’s beliefs. I want to go to Australia for university and study either law of physiology.
