well as on-going course scheduling, distribution of progress reports,
report cards, and transcripts for current students. The Counselor acts

are maintained in the Counseling Office.
One
of the educational goals of HIS is to prepare students to continue their

in the Counseling Office.
College
Counseling Calendar
On
a personal level, students may seek counseling for a variety of concerns
such as academic difficulties, anxiety, stress, loss, anger, depression
and relationships issues. These are risks and benefits to any counseling
process. The benefits are that students have a safe, accepting place to
discuss their concerns, and make decisions for themselves that are
informed and in their best interests. This may lead to increase ability
to cope with academic concerns, family relationships and friends as well
as learning more about themselves. The risks are that the counseling
process may involve remembering unpleasant events and may arouse strong
feelings, and as an outcome may result in ill advised or risk taking
choices/behaviors. At all times, the health and safety of students is
paramount.
