The Performing Arts Center comprises:
-
A semi-circular auditorium (reminiscent of the
ancient Greek Theatres) and a conventional proscenium stage that can
be reconfigured for “theatre-in-the-round”.
Seating capacity varies from 460 to 750, depending on the
type of production.
-
Two music classrooms, a band rehearsal room and five
instrument classrooms for the Music Department.
-
A Drama class / rehearsal room, stage workshop,
costume and props rooms and dressing / changing rooms for the Drama
Department.
-
Gallery space in the Foyer to house a permanent
exhibition of student art for the Art Department.

Once again the Design Team have
incorporated the environmentally-friendly passive cooling and
ventilation systems used elsewhere on the Campus to maintain a
comfortable temperature throughout the building.
State-of-the-art lighting and sound
systems have been designed and imported from South Africa and Europe in
anticipation that the Theatre will be available for commercial
productions, subject to meeting the School’s requirements first.
