Program Description:
At H.I.S. the study of music is designed to be both an engaging and
challenging experience. Students interact with sound - simultaneously
involving mind, body, and spirit - through creating, performing,
listening to, and responding to a wide variety of music. The topics we
study support the PYP Units of Inquiry students are experiencing in
their classrooms. In addition, students in grades three to five
are learning to read music both in the classroom and through the aide of
computer software. Students have a chance to perform with their
peers throughout the year. Here are some photos of our performance
"December in Our Town" which took place in December of 2004.
